My Extravagance Is My Library

“I spend a frightening amount of money on books.”
~Kevin McCloud

“When I get a little money, I buy books.
If any is left, I buy food and clothes.”
~Desiderius Erasmus

“There are treasures in books that all the money in the world cannot buy, but the poorest laborer can have for nothing.”
~Robert Green Ingersoll

“All the little money that ever came into my hands was laid out in books.”
~Benjamin Franklin

There’s nothing extravagant as far as buying books is concerned. I moved on to the Kindle a while ago due to a lack of space in the home library, though I prefer paperbacks. There’s no limit to learning from literature. On an average, I buy between five to seven books a month. (Could be new ones or second hand buys; I’m not picky that way. Unless of course the book needs to be gifted to someone). My books also found their way into the festive season, contributing to this little Christmas book tree.
